Our client , which is one of the largest White Goods Manufacturer in the world, has more than 200 factories in the world and covers over 30 countries. It was ever trapped in the cost-control problems during its globalization process and became our client in 2005.
This client required our team to select an expert in cost-control to fill the position of senior manager in this field from the five corporations: LG, Samsung, GE, Siemens and Whirlpool, which are experienced in controlling cost of global factories.
We conducted lots of investigations about our client and the five target corporations, comparing their organizational structure, characteristics and management style, studying their position settings and different functions, and then focusing our searching on several positions within these five company.
After communicating with possible candidates, identifying and comparing among them, we finally ascertained those candidates who could match the client’s requirement definitely and came from the corporation that had similar situation as our client’s.
Combined with our understanding of the client, we finally recommended the qualified candidate who mastered the client’s mother-tongue and could communicate freely, even though our client never expected we could do this for them before.
Considering the possible incongruence and maladjustment of the candidate, our client evaluated this candidate in many aspects several times for further understanding.
However, after finished its strict assessments, the client confirmed that this candidate’s capability was absolutely beyond its expectation and beyond the requirement of the position.
The client also realized that the correct placement of the candidate would become far-reaching for the whole corporation development.
Consequently, this candidate was positioned as the Vice CFO of the whole group.
